Elements of the Enquiry
1. Academic literature review
We forwarded a survey, review, and consultation with the academic community in the region regarding the literature on the topic, highlighting and describing the most relevant articles of the specialized media.
It consists of more than 170 documents from the most varied sources: from direct recommendations by the Control Panel or panel of experts to institutions devoted to studying transnationalism, passing through direct contact via e-mail with the academic community.
Each document has a short summary and a direct link to the original source. We have classified the literature into two general categories: Communication and transnational communities and Migration and globalization, which in turn we divided into subcategories, as we indicate below.

Transnational Communities, Migration and Globalization
As a complement to the literature, we also did a search of the main academic institutions, study centers or projects related to migration, transnational communities and communication, in the different nations under study.
