  • Fundación Puntos de Encuentro (Meeting Places Foundation) – Nicaragua
    Fundación Puntos de Encuentro is a mixed feminist organization devoted to communication, research and education. It is made up of a multicultural, multidisciplinary team of male and female adults and youths with different sexual preferences and social conditions. The fundamental axis of their labor is power relations in daily life. The foundation's objective is to contribute towards disarming power relations based on people's different social conditions: sex, age, social class, race, physical traits, territory, sexual preference, etc., thus promoting equity in diversity.
  • Cinemovil of Profamilia - Nicaragua
    The Programme of the Association for Welfare of the Nicaraguan Family (Profamilia) carries out reproductive health activities and programmes that entertain and educate both youth and adult populations. Profamilia works to allow target populations to discuss anxieties about the information supplied in the programmes. With the help of two mobile units, Cinemovil reaches those in rural areas at distinct locations each week.
  • Iniciativa Centroamericana de Comunicación para el Desarrollo Sostenible, ICCADES - Nicaragua (Central American Communication Initiative for Sustainable Development, ICCADES)
    ICCADES is a collaborative effort with organizations from several countries, to develop a democratic and participative communication model in the San Juan River basin forming the boundary between Nicaragua & Costa Rica. ICCADES operates as a regional network that gathers media, communication centers and professionals associated to communication to support the participation of the civilian society at a community level in the implementation of their own sustainable development strategies.
  • "Los Maribios" – Nicaragua
    "Los Maribios" is a Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) agricultural project in Nicaragua aimed at imparting knowledge of new techniques and new crops to 2,400 rural families by communication through local media. The FAO works to raise levels of nutrition and standards of living, to improve agricultural productivity, and to better the condition of rural populations.
  • Information Center & Advisory Services in Health (CISAS) – Nicaragua
    The Information Center & Advisory Services in Health (Centro de Informacion y Servicios de Asesoria en Salud - CISAS) is a not-for-profit Nicaraguan NGO. It offers educational, informational and social communication services in the field of community health. The focus of CISAS has centered on popular education and communication about health adapted to the changing situation within the country and especially within the target population and the communities with which the organisation works. These are women, children under 13 years old, adolescents and the population in general.
